What if I don't have any local specialists in my area?

That’s totally fine! If you want to build relationships with local specialists Thea can find specialists for you or you can use their panel of expert specialists to fill in any gaps.

Who are the specialists on Thea's panel and how do they vet them?

Thea's specialists are all US-based board certified physicians in their specialty. Typically they work in academic medical centers. In addition to verifying these credentials and the specialists’ licenses, the Thea team conducts thorough live training with all specialists and regularly conduct quality audits of their cases. 

Do the specialists bill insurance companies for this?

No. Although these services are billable, for DPC customers Thea's panel will not bill for them nor will local specialists.

How long does it take to get a response?

Not long! The median response time is around 4 hours and over 90% of Thea's consults get a response in the same business day.

Is Thea HIPAA compliant?

Yes, Thea is HIPAA compliant and signs a BAA with every customer.

Does it cost local specialists any money?
